Rate limits
AI Generation
One rate limit you will experience on Surge are AI generation speeds. Surge can generate tasks simply by telling it what you want to do, and it will generate the task using AI. The AI generation speed will depend on the plan, but the fastest generation (sub-1 second tasks) will be rate-limited to 50 per hour. If you hit the rate limit, you will experience a small delay, resulting in 2-3 second delay times. Most users won’t ever experience this rate limit.
RPC’s
Surge needs RPCs to connect to the blockchain to send and read requests. By default, each plan includes RPC credits that you can use with our built-in RPCs in Surge. Alternatively, you can go into your settings to override the RPCs using your own from other providers. This way, you do not have to use your credits. However, we don’t recommend using public RPCs as you will frequently encounter rate limits, which can cause errors in your tasks.
Surge RPC’s have a rate limit of 100 calls/s.
If you need more RPC credits, you can refill them at any point.
